Randy Fuller, Russell º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù Distinguished University Professor of biology and environmental studies, has received the 2019 Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Freshwater Science (SFS).

Daniel B. Hurwitz ’86, P’17,’20, current Chair of the º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù Board of Trustees, has announced that he will step down from his chairmanship, effective May 4, 2019, in response to increased professional obligations.
Steve Fabiani, vice president and chief information officer, has accepted the position of vice president for digital innovation and technology at Hofstra University. He will take up his new role later this semester.
Alumni, parents, and friends streamed into the Village of Hamilton by the thousands on Friday, Sept. 21, joining the campus community for º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù’s three-day Bicentennial Kickoff Celebration. They were greeted by banners hailing º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù at 200 Years and a calendar packed with special events.
º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù has named Paul B. Mischler, currently deputy chief advancement officer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Medicine, as vice president for advancement at º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù. He will take up his new post on November 5.
Tara Bubble, deputy director of undergraduate admissions at Cornell University, has been named dean of admission at º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù. She will take up her new post on October 15.
Looking back on another successful fiscal year, the campus community is honoring the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends. Overall giving to º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù rose nearly 10 percent to $35.1 million between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.
