As º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù prepares for the return of students on Friday, Jan. 21., I write to share some of the measures that the University is taking to support the health and safety of our entire community this spring.

Oak Drive will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for tree maintenance work, Dec. 27–Jan. 15.

I write with an update as º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù students wrap up exams and papers on this final day of the fall 2021 semester.

While influenza is not uncommon this time of year, there has been an increase in the number of students reporting flu-like symptoms this week.

With the approach of family weekend this Friday through Sunday, I wanted to reach out with a brief update from campus.

The weeks since my last update have been dynamic, and I write with further information as we anticipate homecoming festivities this weekend.

Now that classes have resumed at º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù and our second round of arrival testing is drawing to an end, I write with an update from campus.

With the hope that you have had a safe, relaxing summer, I write to update you on º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù’s plans for the beginning of the 2021–22 academic year.

In light of the University’s review, please note the following changes to our campus COVID-19 prevention measures.

This week, for the first time, º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù will observe the annual holiday of Juneteenth; because the holiday falls on a Saturday this year, our observance will take place Friday, June 18.
