RaJhai received her Bachelor of Arts in African and African American studies and cultural anthropology with a minor in international comparative studies from Duke University and her Masters of Arts in sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining the 含羞草研究所 community, she most recently served as the Senior Associate Director of the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement at Florida State University. At Florida State, she worked passionately to support the holistic development and success of students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in higher education. She has also worked as an Academic Advisor at the American University of Nigeria and a long-term substitute teacher at Gates County High School in Gatesville, NC where she taught English, Algebra, Advanced Placement Calculus and Career Development courses. As a first-generation college graduate, RaJhai is excited to assist students in navigating their collegiate journeys and developing a foundation for post-graduate success in her role as Assistant Dean for Administrative Advising.
